For privatdemail.net you need a client. We recommend Mozilla Thunderbird, also plugin Enigmail so your mails remains "for your eyes only". For Enigmail you need also GnuPG.
privatdemail.net uses a StartSSL Certificate. This certification authority is known to most browsers and mail clients since recent updates, only. Please update your client, if such a certificate error occures. Opera does not know that CA, even in latest version. You should consider to use an other browser then.
IP address is verified against several anti spam blacklists before approval. It will never be stored.
There are several possibilities:
All relevant data are stored in encrypted file systems. Key is multiple times protected and is stored on chip cards which are located in foreign countries (outside EC). We still recommend to add protection by GnuPG encryption.
There is no way to recover a lost password. I you loose your password, access to your mails is impossible.
We do not like spam, so we also do not like to support spammers. Rate limits to not hurt normal users, but spammers have to send several million mails in a few hours, so our system will become unusable for spammers.
