Privat DE Mail Our primary goals are maximum privacy and no data retention.

Privat DE Mail is a project driven by data retention in Germany and EU. Most people do not want to be subjects of unlimited surveillance, so Privat DE Mail offers a solution to protect privacy of e-mail communication.

Privacy

Our system does not do any logging regarding mail communication. Logging is restricted to system events like hard disk failure or protocol errors. You should still consider some topics, if you send mails. In mail source code the source IP address is always in received visible. We remove first received line, so your IP address is not visible, if you send mail via our servers.

Limitations

• e-mail from or to Israel is not possible
• We do not allow to send more than 1000 mails per day and account.
• There is no way to recover a lost password. If your password is lost, your mails becomes inaccessible.
• If there is no login for 90 days, mail account will be deleted enclosing all its mails.
• We have a rate limit of 100 mails per hour and a maximum of 200 receipents per hour.

Our mail server is located in an arabic country. Due to near eastern conflict they do not want any communication relations to Israel. This is only reason, why we block mail traffic to Israel.

We are using blacklists for spam / malware protection.

Support: We do not have any logfiles, so we cannot do any support in cases of problems with your client.
